Big Thanks!

I was visiting other new friends yesterday and this referral comes from a new Book/Bible Study ‘friend’ I’ve just met: Pilot Mom. According to other comments it’s been around for awhile, but this is the first I’d seen of it. I agree with Pilot Mom who said:

“I hope the military personnel get tons of these cards. Do your part to let them know how much you appreciate them. And then pass on this website so others can send them, too. What a great idea!”

Just go to www.letssaythanks.com, pick out a thank you card and the Xerox Company will print it and it will be sent to a soldier serving in Iraq. You can't pick the recipient, but it will go to some member of the armed services.

The best part is it is FREE and children designed the cards. Up there on top...that's the card I picked! I hope you’ll all go and if you’ve been before, I hope you’ll go again and send more cards! As someone whose mantra is all about ‘encouraging one another’, who better to encourage than a man or woman fighting to preserve freedom. No matter what our individual politics are, we are all united by our land and hopefully many of us by God!

Methinks I just participated (on the sly) in yet another WFMW! SSSHHHHH don’t tell a soul!

Have a blessed Wednesday and remember:

“Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:14-17

Kim,

What a great and easy suggestion!

I just sent an email to the local bank that raises the flag with such dedication and respect every morning, thanking them for honoring our country and the Americans who serve/served us.

They responded in a letter, thanking me for noticing and sharing it with the flag raiser and the entire bank, repeating that this is what honor is all about.

It's the small things that can count to each of us.

Oh, my gosh, oh my gosh, OH..MY..GOSH! Kim!!!KIM!!! I can't believe I've been gone so long. A week off line can feel like a stinking eternity! Honey, your blog is GORGEOUS!!! I LOVE IT! It is perfect, and totally YOU! LO-HUV IT!

And heaven's, girl ... God is opening the doors! OPENING THEM!!! He placed an adoption attorney at your very feet. I am so excited for you! I just can't stand it. I am such a control freak that I "THINK" I have to have my hand in everything ... and that's why I get so WOWED by God when I see HIM opening doors and not me!! (not that I would try to control you, just my own mess of affairs, thank you very much!)

I think I may have peed myself from all the excitement. Okay, not really. But ... almost!

And for heaven's sake! You are an awesome woman, with Godly views, oppinions, and wisdom. Don't let satan get his big 'ol boot in the door and place doubt in your heart. If someone is belittleing or patronizing you, they are not real friends! Period. End of discussion.

Real friends are the ones who love and respect you even if they have a different view point. AND ... they don't degrade you. Okay -- maybe they make fun of you, but lovingly! And gently! Just kick the other people to the curb ... in a non-dessenting and non-cruel and Jesus-loving kind of way!

Okay. Don't kick them to the curb. Just pray for them. Sheesh!

WOW!! What a wonderful idea Kim. It is amazing what some people think of to send a smile to someone who needs it, and those soldiers - they sure need it!! What a blessing.

I went and did this and I forward info on to family and encouraged them to do the same. Thanks for sharing!

If I haven't said it already, I love your new design! :)
