Can You Hear Me Now?

I'm "IN"

I’m actually embarrassed to admit that amidst some of the most beautiful poetic tributes to moms, with children and without, (thank you GiBee) AND spending time with my own wonderful mother/friend, I still sat selfishly “lamenting” my childless Mother’s Day. Then as I was blog-surfing I came across this ABC “tag” from Tess. I’ve seen several response and it’s a good one. So without further ado (or lamenting):

Accent: Whatever you want me to sound like I can do it...I'm an actor at heart! I spent most of my childhood in Colorado, but Oklahoma has started to infiltrate (EGADS!).

Bible Book that I like: As far as FAVORITE, probably John and/or Ephesians.

Chore I don't care for: Laundry and I’ve only done about 4 loads since I got married, thank you Jesus for my husband.

Dog or Cat: Dogs, dogs, dogs!

Essential Electronics: Computer, cell phone, blow-dryer, alarm clock, DVD, Photo-printer.

Favorite Cologne: Pleasures.

Gold or Silver: I prefer silver. The only Gold I have is my wedding band the hubby picked out.

Handbag I Carry Most Often: no handbag, just numerous bookbags that I find striking or fun.

Insomnia: When God wants to chat.

Job Title: Bookkeeper.

Kids: not yet??? Possibly adoption sometime soon.

Living Arrangements: 1st home we’ve owned. In OKC.

Most Admirable Trait: ??? probably creativity and desire to learn and grow?

Naughtiest Childhood Behavior: Disobeying my parents or letting my brother take the blame for stuff I did.

Overnight Hospital Stays: Nope! A few stitches, but no overnights.

Phobias: Extreme heights and snakes!

Quote: "Acting is the ability to show emotions without being emotional." (KPJARA)

Religion: No, spiritual!

Siblings: One younger sister (my best friend) and one older brother, my comic relief!

Time I Wake Up: 6:00ish.

Unusual Talent or Skill: I can speak very very quickly and type over 120 wpm.

Vegetable I Refuse to Eat: green peas! Never….not even if it were the last food on earth! YUCK! I sat at kitchen tables hours refusing to eat them…the dog wouldn’t even take them….YUCK!

Worst Habit: cussing!

X-rays: Ran through a glass door when I was 11ish and x-rayed to see if I cut bone…I didn’t, thank God!

Yummy Stuff I Cook: Mocha Brownie Trifle.

Zoo Animal I Like Most: I love the water animals and the monkeys!

I tag anyone out there who wants to do it!

Cussing?? I never would have suspected.

I hear you on the peas. I had to endure that torture with pea soup one time when I was a kid. Oh, gag-a-magot! It was awful. It took me years to be able to eat peas after that and they are NOT my favorite by a long shot.

Peas will be in HE** I'm certain. There is nothing GODLY about them!

I like Pleasures too.

I didn't cry this Mother's Day, for the first time since we've been married. My husband says I'm finally grown up now. :)

Kim, I was thinking a lot about you on Sunday.

I'm liking you more and more all the time... I love learning more about my fellow Christian friends.

But, I have to differ with you on one small thing. Le Seur baby peas are the bomb. All the rest will be in He**.

oh kim, you are so clearly a mother at heart...although I do not know your story of not having children in your home right now, the fact that you desire them speaks volumes.

Not only does God know but He has a plan for your "mother-lyness". Your children are there for you, just not in your house with the green room yet...they'll know the sound of your voice when they hear it and have found their earthly home! Remember, our hearts desires can be given but not always in the same medium we desire at first. (I know you know this and have probably heard it more than you care to have heard it)

The moment you know who the child is, the rejoicing will be all the sweeter because of your endurance (and enduring)in patience.

Tag, I'm it!

I was all "with-it" til I got to the enduring with patience thing...oh great! I'm in trouble...LOL

Thanks for the encouragement. I do see God working with me and through me in lives and I know He will never leave me or forsake me or my dreams.
