The #1 search I see every single week…is the Great Kazoo. I referenced him months ago and when I did my own search for it, under “Kazoo” I never found the image…because DUH, it’s GAZOO! Who’d have thunk this little guy would stir up so many searches. I did the google search and I’m not even on the 1st page…so these people are digging. It gave me a great idea. I know Karen has shared some of her funnier searches, as has Lauren and a few others…
Psst…hey everybody lean in here…I don’t want everyone to hear…we could include in our posts the most googled word…totally randomly…amidst the other words….and see who comes! I think it’s hilarious. I thought about just doing a post with nothing but the word Gazoo repeated over and over again. But then it sort of reminded me of the movie “The Shining” and it freaked me out a bit. You remember…his whole book was nothing but the sentence: “All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy.” I can hardly type it without getting the heeby-jeebies!
Great idea, huh? So what is your funniest or most popular “google search”?

Ok if you leaned in to read this blog...raise your hand (Aunt Murry raisese her hand).
I Googled "google" once. When I received over 1.6 million items in my list, I figured I better be careful what I search for in the future! By the way... I always thought he was "Kazoo", too. What's up with that???
Hi. I use sitemeter as well. Where do you go though to see the google searches used when coming across one's site? I haven't found that handy tool.
Thanks

This is too funny! Amazing what people put in to find you!
To Butterfly Kisses: The way "I" check out google searches (and there is probably an easier way) is via the "by referral" data on the left hand side of the sitemeter screen. I just click on that and scroll down with my mouse and it shows a partial of the search entered...it's also on the "by detail" info in much greater detail but it takes FOREVER to gather that data.
If there is an easier way (other than an upgrade to pay status on sitemeter) someone let us all know!
oh I get some strange ones but my fav the other day was a search for awesome thoughts I turned up at 3 on the list and was feelig really pleasedtil I realised they weren't mine!!!
"Stomach virus". I'm so proud.
My most popular arrival through a google search is a young Russian cellist's name: Alexandre Bouslov. (I took my girls to see a recital in the Spring and posted about it briefly.) My blog is usually up in the 20-something pages of the search, so really...who could it be? Maybe Alexandre? Maybe his mom?
The country of origin is usually Russia, but for the times it's not I'm trying to reconcile it to his concert schedule -- which of course necessitates...a google search!
I feel left out because I do not have a blog.
Paul
I just posted about this Thursday
okay, I am not in the blog geek crew so I will refrain from commenting.
phffffhhahahahahahahaha
Sorry, couldn't resist.
weird. i just found this blog through a google search. i was googling song lyrics to gorillaz' hong kong - it matched with the "hear me now?" in both the song and the title of your blog.
way to freak me out.
[yeah - i leant in to read it...]
You all make me LOL! BTW I am SO not a geek...my blogless husband is a complete computer nerd/geek...though and look that's his comment about feeling left out! Poor guy...maybe when he's done with school he can 'join-up' in this world of random ranting and world peace organization.
Welcome to Hannah who came via a 'search' and just let everyone know if they're looking for Gazoo or Kazoo...he's here now in the pictures and at heart!
oh and Shannon....GROSSSSSSS! Stomach Virus? It makes you wonder if they were trying to commiserate or just read gross stories!
Okay, this just really disappoints me... I thought I would have like a billion hits with that post where I said "sex" was my favorite word. I check the site meter, and I've got NOTHING on it. Sheesh, I guess I shouldn't surprise me too much. Not really sexy in real life, so I shouldn't suppose that it would translate to the blogdom either. Hey, I'm calling it God's protection and leaving it at that!
