One of my “new” friends from the KC trip, Sarah, tagged me for this 3-random question meme and it looks like a ‘thinker’ (which you know I crave), plus I haven’t had one in ages! SO here they are, feel free to take em’ and pass them around. And because one of my favorite numbers is 7, I added 4 questions to the pick!
1. Do you think anyone with a desire to create is an artist of sorts?
I think anyone with a desire to create that actually DOES something with that desire, is an ‘artist’. I also love what Sarah said about our being creative because we come from the “Creat-or” and it’s a part of our make-up!
2. What frightens you the most about getting older?
Loss of ability to remember. Loss of physical ability and strength. Not having children. Not fulfilling God’s destiny for myself on earth. Leaving the world without leaving a lasting legacy of Christ’s love.
3. When was the first time you traveled by air? Where did you go?
My father worked for the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) his entire career, so we traveled by air quite frequently. The first time I did I was 2 y.o. (maybe 3) and we went to or from California/Kansas. My first memory of flying was when I was a pre-teen and I flew to my grandmother’s in Kansas, from Colorado.
4. What is your earliest childhood memory?
I remember living in Alaska and ice-skating during recess (during the winter the entire playground was an ice-skating rink) and skating in our backyard (which was also transformed into a skating rink). I was 5 or 6 at the time.
5. When the book of your life is written, what will the title be?
Mine will be: “Not Just Another Pretty Face”. Unless that one’s taken…in which case I’ll come up with another one.
6. In the movie of your life, who will play you?
Well if I'm not available, Rosie O’Donnell of course!
7. What is the greatest sacrifice you’ve had to make so far in your life (not included your life to Christ)?
I think for me the greatest sacrifice would be the part of my soul that was eaten away when I was date-raped. I was only able to forgive this man about 4 years ago and had no idea how much anger I was holding towards him.
Side note: I had no idea that’s what I was going to put…it just spilled out, a bit forthcoming but honesty to the core!
Have a wonderfully blessed Friday and Weekend! Be Creative! I love this reminder in Genesis of God’s dominion and creativity from the very beginning of time! I can just see Him ‘hovering over earth’s empty and formless mass cloaked in darkness’, only to begin to smile as He imagines it filled with His glory!
Genesis 1:1-2 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was empty, a formless mass cloaked in darkness. And the Spirit of God was hovering over its surface.”

Very cute meme!
Wow, Kim--thanks for your honesty.
Nice meme! Just wanted to say "good morning". Now I'm off to the mountains....
Loved the answers, honesty especially.
Alaska? Now I bet you have some good stories to share about life way up there. I could not even imagine surviving in that cold!
Kim thank you ((())))
