A Gift For Everyone

The hubs and I see a movie almost every week. We use a portion of our 'blow' money (from Dave Ramsey's FPU plan) and go check out a new release. We've seen some pretty UN-remarkable films of late. But today's ranked up there with "Freedom Writers" and a handful of other really memorable films.

Today we had planned to see "The Astronaut Farmer" and we probably still will at some point, but I looked through what was showing at the theater closest to us and there was one neither of us had heard of; "The Ultimate Gift". I thought it sounded intriguing. It's based on a novel by Jim Stovall. I knew that Fox Faith Films has been producing many more films this year, I just had no idea how impactful they would be. We decided to go see it based on the informational blurb given on Yahoo movies site.

It was an absolute MUST-SEE! Truly, it teaches everyone something. I don't doubt for a second that God ordained our own viewing on this day. You see I was totally prepared to write about how I feel like I'm on "E", in my spiritual tank. What I realize is that I have so much more to give and focusing on what I lack does not change that fact. I have been blessed with much and much is expected of me.

I'm still trying to work through what it all means and how it will play out in my own life, and I know we are on the 'verge' of something...what...I don't know...but something that will take a turn on our spiritual journey.

I have seen all God has brought us through over the past several years and I know we are still safely on His path. It is sometimes bumpy, but always certain!

I pray you find your "Ultimate Gift" and give it freely each day!

Yeah I so wanna see this movie! They really are putting out alot of them these days. I can't keep up. I still haven't seen the Last Sin Eater and it was written by my favorite author, Francine Rivers. Read the book ages ago and just have to see the movie. Wish they would make a movie out of Redeeming Love!

Thank you for the comment you left on my blog about the pics!

Is that the one with James Garner? I think I saw a review of it by Chuck Coulson the other day. I wondered if it would be in theaters. Thanks for the good word, and the good words. I miss your writing when it's not there.

Good for you for following the FPU plan! We're off it at the moment, but with the intent of moving to a house with a lower mortgage to help get rid of debt faster.

I'll look for the movie on DVD - that whole FPU thing in play for us. Thanks for the review.

Proud of you and your man for being on board with Dave Ramsey's FPU plan, dollface. Just wanted to say thanks for spreading the debt free word, and thanks for working for The Man Upstairs. www.debtective.com

Ahhhh...Dave Ramsey! We did his financial peace university in our sunday school class. He really is a financial genius!

That movie sounds really great. I have never heard of it. I wonder if it's playing anywhere here!

I saw Premonition this weekend. It was a neat flick about how to find love again and love what you have and although you don't always get what you want, you get what you need. Yes, I did get that all from this movie.

Long time no comments stranger. Hubs and I have that BLOW envelope going on too, along with the other aspects of the Ramsey plan. I got a strange look recently at the store when I pulled out my BLOW envelope, labeled in big black letters, to pay for something.

Anyway, thanks for the movie info. I haven't heard of that one but we'll have to check it out.

And on a side note..I finally started reading the book you sent me moons ago "Searching For God Knows What" and it has been LIFE CHANGING in how I read and view God's word.

Bless you friend
